Organic Vegan Wedding with Shillingford Organics

Welcome back to the Field to Fork Catering blog! Today, we want to share our latest event, a rustic organic vegan wedding celebration located on the beautiful farm of Shillingford Organics.

Every event we cater holds a special place in our hearts, and this one was no exception as the groom, Olli, is the son of the farm owners. It was a day to remember, not only because of the beautiful wedding, but also due to the unique organic plant based theme that ran throughout the celebration.

Collaboration with Shillingford Organics

This event presented an opportunity for a collaboration with Shillingford Organics, a local farm renowned for its commitment to organic farming. In line with our shared values of sustainability, we crafted an entirely plant based menu using ingredients freshly handpicked from their farm. This partnership meant that we were able to showcase our creative culinary skills while respecting the environment, creating a menu that was vegan, organic, and full of flavour.

The Canapés

We started the event with a range of canapés. First was the Arancini with Aubergine Caponata and a Summer Vegetable Tart with Tomato Pesto. Next was Thai Summer Vegetable Rolls with Tamari Dipping Sauce. This was followed by Summer Slaw Bao Buns and Baked Mushrooms with Apple and Stilton.

The Grazing Board

Next, guests moved onto a grazing board that started with an Artisan Bread Basket with Romanesco Sauce and Beetroot Hummus. This was accompanied by Honey and Ginger Halloumi and Aubergine Basil Pesto & Mozzarella Rolls. The guests enjoyed the Summer Vegetable Antipasti, and Baba Ganoush with Lentil Wafers.

The Vegetarian Wedding Banquet

The main event was our vegetarian banquet. This included slightly fermented Kohl Rabi, Godminster Truffle Cheese Pie with Fig & Apple Compote, Chanterelle Mushroom, Dulce Seaweed & Pesto Tart, and Salcombe Cheese Frittata. We paired the mains with Quinoa Salad with Moroccan Spices and Oven Roasted Smoked Chickpeas. Along with Braised Puy Lentil Salad with Roasted Summer Vegetables and Toasted Seeds, and Roast New Potatoes with Rocket Pesto.
