WEDDING & EVENT CATERING · CORNWALL

Wedding & Event Catering in Cornwall

We cross the Tamar for the weddings worth the drive — a Devon kitchen that travels, with the produce coming along for the journey.

Crossing the Tamar is a choice, not an inconvenience

Plenty of caterers say they cover Cornwall and mean they'd consider Saltash. We mean Trevenna, Pentillie Castle, The Green, and the barns and clifftop marquees strung out towards the Roseland Peninsula and the north coast. It is a real drive from our kitchen in Bradninch, and we plan for it properly: loading the day before where the venue allows, arriving earlier than we would in Devon, and moving everything that needs it in refrigerated transport.

What that buys you is the unglamorous part done right. Cornish wedding venues are frequently beautiful and awkward in equal measure — a walled garden with one access track, a farm with power for a kettle. We're fully self-contained and 95% locally sourced, so the kitchen arrives with us and the produce travels from the Devon farms we've used for years rather than from whoever had stock near the venue.

Cornwall is also where our vegan and vegetarian wedding menus get asked for most — by some distance. Chef Dave Corker cooks plant-forward by instinct after twenty-five years in Devon kitchens, so a fully vegan Cornish wedding isn't the meat menu with the meat removed — it's built from the vegetables up. After that it's wood-fired pizza and BBQ and grazing tables that Cornish couples ask for most.

Parties, celebrations and corporate catering in Cornwall

Weddings are the bulk of what takes us across the border, but the same travelling kitchen caters private and family celebrations from 30 guests upwards — milestone birthdays, anniversaries, christenings — and corporate events, from launches and away-days to summer parties. The setup is identical; only the running order changes. If you're planning something in Cornwall that isn't a wedding, ask anyway.

Cornwall venues we cater at

  • Trevenna
  • Pentillie Castle

That is a short list on purpose — we'd rather name the Cornish venues we genuinely know than pad it out. We're a travelling kitchen, so if yours isn't here, see everywhere else we cover and just ask.

GOOD TO KNOW

Wedding catering in Cornwall — your questions

Do you really travel from Devon to cater a Cornwall wedding?
Yes, and often. Our kitchen is in Bradninch, near Cullompton, so a Cornwall wedding means crossing the Tamar and a proper drive — we plan for it rather than pretend it isn't there. That means loading the day before where we can, an earlier arrival on site, and refrigerated transport for everything that needs it. Tell us your venue and we'll tell you honestly whether we can do it justice.
Is there a travel charge for weddings in Cornwall?
There can be, and we'd rather say so upfront than bury it. It depends on how far past the Tamar you are, whether the team needs to stay over, and what the setup demands. It goes in your quote as a clear line, not as a surprise on the final invoice.
Can you cater a fully vegan Cornish wedding?
This is some of our favourite work. Dave's cooking is plant-forward by default, so a fully vegan or vegetarian wedding menu isn't an adaptation of the meat menu — it's built from the vegetables up. Cornish couples ask us for this more than any other area we cover, and we've got the menus to show for it.
If your produce comes from Devon, how local is our Cornish wedding food?
Honest answer: the produce travels with us. We've spent years building relationships with Devon farms and growers, and we'd rather bring ingredients we can vouch for than buy unknown stock near the venue. Where a Cornish supplier is genuinely the better call — fish, dairy, sometimes bread — we'll use them and tell you so.
Do you cater parties and corporate events in Cornwall too?
We do. Weddings are the bulk of our Cornish work, but the same travelling kitchen caters milestone birthdays, anniversaries and family gatherings from 30 guests upwards, plus corporate days, launches and away-days. The logistics are identical; only the running order changes.
