Wedding & Event Catering in Torquay
Weddings, parties and corporate days across the English Riviera — Torquay, Paignton and Brixham, an hour down the road from our kitchen.
Torbay asks for a caterer, not just a wedding caterer
The English Riviera is the one part of Devon where people come to us for the full spread of events rather than weddings alone — parties, anniversaries, corporate summer days — and we've built the way we work here around that. Torquay, Paignton and Brixham sit about an hour from our kitchen in Bradninch, close enough to be an ordinary day's work rather than a logistical exercise.
Torbay's venues are its own particular puzzle. Seafront hotels and listed buildings like the Spanish Barn at Torre Abbey come with narrow load-in windows, awkward parking and a service lift if you're lucky. We arrive fully self-contained and 95% locally sourced, so we're not dependent on a venue kitchen we may not be allowed to touch — and we'd rather know about the access before the day than discover it on the morning.
What suits the coast best is food people can graze at while the sun is still up: grazing tables and buffets, relaxed sharing feasts, and wood-fired pizza and BBQ for terrace and garden receptions. Behind it is chef Dave Corker, twenty-five years into cooking in Devon, with vegan and vegetarian menus that stand on their own rather than sitting in the margin.
Parties, celebrations and corporate catering in Torbay
This is where Torquay differs from the rest of our patch. Private and family celebrations from 30 guests upwards are a steady part of our Torbay year — milestone birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, christenings — served the same way a wedding is, with a proper kitchen on site and a team who stay to clear it down.
Corporate work sits alongside it: launches, conference lunches, away-days and summer parties across Torquay and Paignton. If your Torbay event needs feeding and it isn't a wedding, it's still very much our thing — send us the date and the guest count and we'll quote it exactly the same way.

Catering in Torquay — your questions
- Do you cater parties and events in Torquay as well as weddings?
- Yes — and in Torbay that's a bigger part of what we do than anywhere else we cover. Alongside weddings we cater private and family celebrations from 30 guests upwards, milestone birthdays, anniversaries and summer parties. The travelling kitchen and the service team are the same; only the running order changes.
- Do you cover Paignton and Brixham, or just Torquay?
- The whole of Torbay. Torquay, Paignton and Brixham are all comfortably within range from our kitchen in Bradninch — roughly an hour up the road — so it's a straightforward day for us rather than an expedition. Venues out towards Dartmouth and the South Hams are equally in reach.
- Our venue is a hotel with its own kitchen. Can you still cater?
- Often, yes, but it depends entirely on the venue's own rules — some Torbay hotels require you to use their in-house catering, others are happy to host an external caterer. We arrive fully self-contained either way, so we don't need their kitchen. Check with your venue first, then send us what they say and we'll tell you straight whether it works.
- Can you cater an outdoor or terrace reception on the seafront?
- That's a lot of what the English Riviera asks for. Sea-view terraces and gardens are wonderful and windy in equal measure, so we plan the service style around it — covered grazing, dishes that hold their temperature, and a setup that doesn't rely on perfect weather. We'll walk the space with you beforehand where we can.
- How far ahead should we book a summer date in Torbay?
- As early as you reasonably can. Summer on the Riviera is the busiest stretch of our year and Saturdays from June to September go first. If your date is flexible, a Friday or a Sunday opens up considerably more choice — and often a calmer day at the venue too.
