Every county we cover asks for vegan food occasionally. Somerset asks for it deliberately — enough that it shapes how we talk about the county at all. Dave Corker is vegan himself, and his team cooks meat and fish alongside him, so a fully plant-based wedding menu here isn't a substitution exercise. Our plant-based banquets are built as sharing bowls and platters — broad bean, wild leek and sorrel cheesecake; tenderstem broccoli risotto; braised fennel tart with Culsworthy cheese — and you pick six across mains and sides.
Geographically Somerset splits in two for us. Taunton and the Blackdown side are barely a run up the M5 from Bradninch — close enough that a Taunton wedding is an ordinary day. Yeovil, Wells, Glastonbury and the eastern reaches are a genuine drive, and we plan those the way we plan Cornwall: loading earlier, refrigerated transport, and a longer setup window. We'd rather say which of the two your venue is than pretend the county is one journey.

- Do you cater weddings in Taunton and across Somerset?
- Yes. Taunton is the part of Somerset we're asked about most, and it's a straightforward run up the M5 from our kitchen in Bradninch. We also cater around Yeovil, Wells, Glastonbury, Frome and the villages in between. Somerset is a wide county, though, so tell us the venue and we'll be straight with you about whether we can do it justice.
- Can you cook a fully plant-based Somerset wedding?
- This is some of the work we're proudest of. Dave Corker is vegan himself and his team cooks meat and fish alongside, which means the plant-based menu is designed from the vegetables up rather than adapted from the meat one. Our plant-based banquets run as sharing bowls and platters — you choose six items across mains and sides — from 30 guests.
- Is there a travel charge for a Somerset wedding?
- It depends where in the county you are. The Taunton end is close enough that it rarely comes up; out towards Frome, Bath or the far east of Somerset the distance starts to matter and there may be a charge for travel. Whatever it comes to, it appears as its own line in your quote rather than buried in a per-head figure.
- Our venue is a barn or a marquee with no kitchen. Does that work?
- It's most of what we do in Somerset. We arrive fully self-contained with our own equipment and team. For marquee weddings we'll usually visit the site first to check access, power and water — we need 13 amp sockets for the coffee machines and refrigeration, and water within about a hundred metres. Sorting that early is what keeps the day calm.
- Do you cater Somerset events other than weddings?
